Before using Mursatt BROM'n8 in your pool for the first time, add 400 grams of Bromide Pretreat per 10,000 litres of water to establish a 30 ppm bromide reserve. Also add Bromide Pretreat when opening the pool for the summer and whenever the pool is drained and refilled.
To start up a new pool, open the pool for the season or convert from a chlorine base program, backwash or clean the filter, chemically balance the calcium hardness and alkalinity and adjust the pH to 7.4-7.6. Add Bromide Pretreat as directed above. When the Bromide Pretreat has dissolved and dispersed in the water, superoxidize to obtain a bromine residual of 2-8 ppm. Swimming may begin when the bromine level drops below 3 ppm.
To maintain a bromine residual, adjust the feeder rate to assure a constant treatment level of 1.0 to 3.0 ppm in residential pools and 3.0 to 5.0 ppm in larger, heavily used pools (normally 30 g to 180 g of this product per 10,000 litres of water daily).
